She acts as a key contact for all the stakeholders for the Scheme in Malaysia; with regular liaison with the Ministry of Health, the Malaysian Medical Council, the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), the Malaysian Dental Association (MDA), doctors & dentists, solicitors and insurers.
Ratna was part of the Malaysian Bar’s Mandatory Professional Indemnity Scheme in 2003 at Willis Malaysia; and overseeing the full transaction of the MBar Scheme when she joined Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) in 2005. In 2009, she decided to switch career by joining a non-government organization leading advocacy and law reform concentrating in Family Law and any discriminatory policies; particularly human rights issues impacting gender justice - both in Malaysia and the International arena.
She re-joined JLT in 2016 and was tasked to manage the MEDEFEND Scheme, which is endorsed by the MMA and the MDA.
